Today was another full day of health checks! We’re at a different location today – at Legliz Evanjelik de Sous de la Gras in the city of Fontamara. We saw about 50 kids. The children consisted of local Fontamara kids and two groups of kids who hopped on busses and came to see us all the way from Port Au Prince.
The site had a different feel today as we’re in a more urban/suburban area. Instead of being in separate areas, we’re all in one large open room. It was a great day. We all felt like we’re in a routine and were able to have more meaningful conversations with our kids, parents, and interpreters. Yesterday and today did seem like they were our hump days. However, we intend to launch into tomorrow with a fresh energy for our VBS and our final day of health checks.
It’s crazy to think that our trip is already over halfway done! God has been so good to us! There have been a few health issues among our team, but everyone is healthy as I write this. Please pray for our VBS tomorrow, strength and energy for the remainder of our trip, and that God would continue to bring us reminders of who He is and that we would recognize the ways that He is working.
Thank you for following us so far on our journey, and what a journey it has been! We are looking forward to all that God has for us and to sharing with you all after we re-enter the states. Thank you for your continued prayers. God bless!
