WELCOME TO ROL SUMMER SUNDAY MORNINGS!

Welcome to River of Life! We hope you feel at home with us. Our summer services are held outside at River of Life Church at 10 a.m. We also have an online service that is streamed at 10 a.m. and available online afterward. Our services last about an hour and include a time of worship and teaching from the Bible.

Our Bulletins are interactive: click on a title to see more.

SMELLING SALT: WEEK 14

  1. What are your earliest memories of prayer? Maybe it was a praying mom, dad or grandma.  Please explain what an impact this had on you.
  2. Read James 5:13-18 and ask the following questions:
    • Why don’t more people take advantage of this ministry?
    • Prayer is mentioned seven times in these six verses… please share your “prayer pattern”—when do you pray?
  3. Sunday’s message focused a lot on the ability to hear God’s voice. Is there a time God “whispered in your ear” clearly?  How did He direct you?

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

We have a great team forming for children’s ministry this year. Thank you for everyone who has signed up to be on board! We are super excited to see what this year holds and the new ways the Gospel resonates with these kiddos after such a crazy year! We have a few more openings for volunteers, and particularly need some men to help out with our boys groups. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Kristina Bloomdahl or click the link above and you can get plugged in!

ROL 2020 FALL KICKOFF

Join us for our annual Fall KickOff event on Sunday, September 13! We will have an outdoor service (weather permitting) at 10 a.m. followed by baptisms, a BBQ and the football game. For lunch, ROL will be providing BBQ from a variety of vendors, mac & cheese, chips, ice cream treats, water, and juice boxes for the kiddos. Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket, your family, and any additional picnic foods your family would like.
RSVP by September 6. Please only fill out one form per family.

BAPTISMS

If you have recently decided to commit your life to Jesus Christ and are interested in being baptized on Sunday, September 13, click the BAPTISMS link above, fill out the form, and a staff member will reach out to you. We are excited to walk alongside you during this amazing new time in your faith journey!

SAVE THE DATE FOR SERVE WEEK

We are gearing up for our Annual Serve Week this October, so make sure to mark your calendars from October 19-23 and be on the lookout for more information on social media and the website! We are looking forward to showing our communities the love that God has shown us.

DAVE’S DAILY DEVOS

During this time with all the negative news, we could all use a little encouragement, so Mon-Thurs we’re committed to have something positive for you to listen to! Drop in for Facebook Live at 9 a.m. or YouTube at lunchtime.

NOON PRAYER TIME

Church, we are asking you to set an alarm and pray everyday at noon. Pray for however long you’re able. The important part is we cry out to God everyday, as one voice, at the noon hour for God’s ways to be set loose in our church, families, leaders, city, state, nation and world. And for the Church around the world to be revived by God; to be His hands and feet!
Some of the particular things that we can pray for as a church this week are:

  • By Your word, the heavens were made; their starry host by the breath of Your mouth. You gather the waters of the sea into jars; You put the deep into storehouses. May all the earth fear You, Lord; may all the people of the world revere You. For You spoke, and it came to be; You commanded, and it stood firm. You foil the plans of the nations; You thwart the purposes of the peoples. But Your plans stand firm forever; the purposes of Your heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people You chose for You inheritance. (Based on Psalm 33:6-12)
  • May our nation repent and revere You, Lord. May we be unified in Jesus’ name. May we bless You as You have blessed us. May we love You as You have loved us. May we bless and love one another to please You. May You soften the hearts of those who don’t yet know You and love You. May they hear our witness and be blessed by our prayers. And may our nation be a wonderful blessing unto the Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
