WELCOME TO ROL 2020 FALL KICKOFF!
Welcome to River of Life! We hope you feel at home with us. Our services are held outside at River of Life Church at 10 a.m. We also have an online service that is streamed at 10 a.m. and available online afterward. Our services last about an hour and include a time of worship and teaching from the Bible.
Our Bulletins are interactive: click on a title to see more.
SERMON QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:
- Why is praying with other people, out loud, such a scary thing for most Christians? How can we help each other get comfortable with praying out loud with others?
- When is the last time you shared Jesus or your testimony with someone who does not claim to be a follower of Jesus?
- Do you believe in Eternal Security? (The belief that “once saved by God; always saved by God.”) What are the benefits and liabilities of believing or not believing in this hot issue?
WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS FALL:
For the Fall months, we will continue meeting at 10 a.m. outside, weather permitting, until further notice. We’re having some construction done in the sanctuary and are unsure of the timeline at this point. When construction and renovations are completed, we’ll move back inside and resume our 9 & 10:45 a.m. service times. Thank you for your flexibility and grace in this time! For more information on River of Life, click on the link above.
On Sunday, September 20, the kids will begin meeting inside at 10 a.m. for regular programming. When we move back inside to our 9 & 10:45 a.m. services, we will only have kids programming at 9 a.m. For more information, click on the link above.
Men’s ministry is meeting at the church for Bible study on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Thursday mornings at 5:30 a.m. For more information, click on the link above.
Wednesday, September 16 is our Family Ministries Kickoff. We want to invite ALL students, grades pre-K through 12, to join us every Wednesday starting at 6:30 p.m. for service! Grades 6-12 are welcome to come and hangout outside at 5:45 p.m. before service begins. For more information, click on the link above.
If you’re grieving the loss of a loved one or experiencing the pain of separation or divorce, we want to encourage you to join us on Thursday evenings starting September 17 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. for our Divorce Care or Grief Share groups. You are invited to attend this monumental day of Prayer and Repentance here at River of Life Church, Saturday, September 26, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The event will be hosted by Jonathan Cahn, and we will be simulcasting live from Washington D.C. We are gearing up for our Annual Serve Week this October, so make sure to mark your calendars from October 19-24 and be on the lookout for more information on social media and the website! We are looking forward to showing our communities the love that God has shown us.
If you or someone you know is in need of some help around your home or property before winter, please fill out the attached form in the link above and our local missions team will consider it as a project during Serve Week.
During this time with all the negative news, we could all use a little encouragement, so Mon-Thurs we’re committed to have something positive for you to listen to! Drop in for Facebook Live at 9 a.m. or YouTube at lunchtime.
Church, we are asking you to set an alarm and pray everyday at noon. Pray for however long you’re able. The important part is we cry out to God everyday, as one voice, at the noon hour for God’s ways to be set loose in our church, families, leaders, city, state, nation and world. And for the Church around the world to be revived by God; to be His hands and feet!
Some of the particular ways we can pray as a church this week are:
- Thank the Lord for the ways He has blessed you, your family, our church, your community, etc.
- Quiet your mind and ask the Lord what He would like to say to you and ask Him to align your heart and spirit with His.
- Come into agreement with what the Lord says or asks of you and ask Holy Spirit to remind you throughout the day/week.
- Present your requests to the Lord honestly and openly.
- Praise the Lord for the answers to your prayers in advance, knowing that He is a good Father and gives us what we need.
